Instructions to make Taco Rice (Okinawan Dish):
  1. First step is to make 4 cups rice if you don’t already have rice made. I always have rice made and frozen in small meal size portions to make this quick and easy. I recommend you do this as well for any other meal you eat rice with.
  2. Next is to dice the onion into small bite size pieces or you could just put them in the food processer and hit plush a few time an your good to go. Set aside. Now chop your lettuce, tomatoes and keep them in separate bowls and set aside. Now slice up the avocados and put them on a plate or bowl. (You can put everything on one plate if you don’t want to make a ton of dishes to wash but just keep them in separate groups.)
  3. Now heat a large non-stick skillet on medium-high heat until the pan get hot. Add in the onion and cook until translucent or soft. You can tell when they are done when they are glossy and cooked down a bit. Now add in the ground beer or pork and take your spatula and mix around the meat with the onions and cook all the meat until done. You will want to sprinkle some crazy salt or garlic salt to the meat for extra flavor. (Don’t add too much though) Mix well.
  4. Once all the meat is cooked with the onion it’s time to add in the sauces. Add in the squeeze of ketchup and squeeze of bull dog tonkatsu sauces and mix well. Turn the heat down to medium-low. Now add in the turmeric powder little by little. Add to taste. If you don’t like turmeric than just omit this ingredient. Your meat should have kind of an orange color and smell amazing. Remove from the heat and set aside. Turn off the stove. (I always forget this step…jk)
  5. Now it’s time to assembly your bowl. Take a large bowl or plate and add in 1 cup of cooked rice. Should be nicely hot. Now take a ladle and add 1-2 scoops of the meat mixture. Add the lettuce next, Than the tomatoes, Now the shredded cheese and the avocado slices or cubes on top. Now it’s done.
