The ingredients needed to make Clamshell Tacos:
  1. Get 1 Lb. Taco Meat
  2. Prepare 25 Jumbo Shells (pasta)
  3. Prepare 1/4 Stick Butter
  4. Make ready 3/4 C Nacho Cheese Dorito Crumbs
  5. Make ready 2 C Taco Cheese
  6. Take Taco Toppings
Instructions to make Clamshell Tacos:
  1. Prepare taco meat by browning hamburger and adding seasoning. If using pre-made taco meat…this step is not necessary.
  2. Cook jumbo shells according to package, then drain.
  3. Melt butter in pan used for boiling shells. Place shells back in this pan, cover and “toss” to coat with butter.
  4. Place a spoonful of taco meat into each shell and place in a 9 x 13 pan.
  5. Sprinkle each shell’s taco meat with the Dorito crumbs.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes at 350°.
  7. Remove from oven and add a pinch of cheese to each shell. Add other favorite taco toppings such as a dab of sour cream and or salsa.
  8. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
