The ingredients needed to make Instant Pot Carnitas:
  1. Take 4-5 lb. pork shoulder, cut into 2* chunks
  2. Prepare 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  3. Take 1 cup beer
  4. Get 1 tbsp garlic
  5. Get 1/3 cup orange juice
  6. Get 1/4 cup lime juice
  7. Prepare 1 tsp oregano
  8. Get 1 tsp cumin
  9. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  10. Get 1/2 tsp black pepper
Steps to make Instant Pot Carnitas:
  1. Liberally salt and pepper pork chunks.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in IP on Saute setting. Brown pork, 1-2 min per side.
  3. Combine beer, garlic, OJ, LJ, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper to make mojo. Add to IP.
  4. Cook on manual for 30 minutes, natural release.
  5. Move pork to baking sheet and shred using two forks. Add 1/3 of the liquid.
  6. Broil pork for 4-5 minutes. Repeat process of adding sauce and broiling twice.
  7. Serve with tortillas and pineapple salsa.
  8. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
